Link Building – What Is It?

There are several key methods to get your company into the top positions in Google, Yahoo or Bing search engine results pages. By selecting keywords or key phrases on each individual website page. Building social media presence for the website from platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. When you build and publish a website the search engine spider bots will crawl your site and then be listed. The spider bots will rank the page based on the keywords, like Photography SEO, that are contained within the meta descriptions and titles. The social media aspect, although not strictly link building will help generate interest and gain new customers. Ultimately, link building is simply having other relevant websites that contain a link pointing to your website. This generates link popularity and thus is one of the major factors used to rank websites higher in the search engines.

Link Building via Blog Comments

A simple, but fairly effective method of link building is the use of blog commenting. You can do this yourself with relative ease. Just take a spare 20 minutes in the day to read some blogs and articles that are somewhat relevant to what you offer on your website. Post a comment that adds value to the content already on the page. Most blog comments allow you to put your name a website which will give a back link. This is a form of link building.

There are several companies out there that offer link building services. One element being blog commenting. But be wary, you do not want to end up with a list of spam blog comments. One of which is yours. Repeat this process several times and you are on your way to receiving a Google penalty. Remember that quality over quantity is best. Note, that I have seen a website jump up the rankings with a high quality relevant backlink as opposed to hundreds upon hundreds of spam blog comments and directory links.
